Curves with Confidence

I’m a curvy girl, whether I’m smaller or bigger I always have/had curves.

When dressing my curves I like to add to play them up. Now for a dress look, I would say add a belt or a blazer. Blazers are my favorite- the structured blazer is your friend! It nips you in and creates the illusion of a waist if you don’t have a natural one. You can play them dress, casual or work appropriate.  Belts, especially skinny belts also do wonders my friend- they can make a waist on a beautiful sheath dress.

My new creation/look:

Curves with Confidence
Word of advice: Don’t be afraid of color. Nothing says confidence like color. I love the blue and the berry booties. Completely different colors yet pair with the right neutrals go together and pull this outfit together. I also don’t believe in being matching with my silvers and golds. It’s fun to add them together as long as they are on the same spectrum, ie metallic gold with metallic silver, dulled silver with dulled gold etc.
Also shapewear may sound and feel like the devil. But it is your friend. No lumps and bumps here! I really like the whole body shapewear, yes maybe uncomfortable to go to the bathroom but that’s only for a little moment. Unlike half body shapewear where it cuts into All Day.
Now enjoy your winter day with some color, confidence and a smile!

Bewitching

Bewitched

I’ve always loved watching Bewitched and one of the main reasons, especially when I was little, was the fashion. I loved the styles of Samantha and especially the wild Sabrina. I’ve always been a fan of retro clothing and my favorite websites for such clothing are: shopruche, modcloth and shabby apple.  They have such cute clothing and accessories!

Below is a little outfit consisting of all three websites and inspired by Bewitched.

Clothing Crush: Madewell

Ok I have real live crush..on

Madewell. They have some unique and cute stuff, made for the urban outfitters fan except probably a little better quality and more classy. I’ve seen a lot of talk from my favorite blogs about this store. I think they need one in Habersham. Ok, Alpharetta, GA is more of their clientele.

These are my favorites from the sale section- all photos and clothing pieces are from http://www.madewell.com/

How To Wear Shorts In Winter

Shorts in Winter

I love the shorts with tights look. However I didn’t know if I could get away with it. While I was looking at ShopRuche.com I saw this metallic shorts. They were so cute and fun. I decided to play with the colors. I chose a navy tight, cute retro heels, a green/blue scarf, light top and a tweed jacket to pull the different colors and look together. I really love playing around with different color palettes and seeing how they work. Navy is a great neutral I feel that a lot of people tend to stay away from. But it’s much less harsh than black. This would be cute for a date or a cool party.

Winter Weather

Winter Weather

It’s not easy to combine pattern and colors. For most outfits I start with one central piece, for me it was the bag. Then match it to one item, like an accessory and make it visually interesting. The bag matches the belt and the some of the colors in the dress. Then I added a similar color to the dress with the tights, but a lighter variation of that color. It wasn’t too crazy of a print so it went well with the dress print.

I really love the socks with boots over tights look and wanted to try it. I also wanted to add some color, I love the burgundy on these boots. It’s beautiful and it pops out from the outfit. It also stays in a color family. Then I added a burgundy color necklace to match that piece. It’s the little things that matterI dislike outfits that are too matchy-matchy. I don’t believe in shoes and purses matching (nor do I agree with eye-shadow matching outfit)because it dates an outfit. I really love that coat and the winter white, it goes great with the accessories of the outfit.

It should be fun and reflect your personality. I found this to be the best way to feel confident when you need to have a little oomph to your mindset!

H&M Dressing Room

So I was visiting H&M’s website-mainly because I love all of their clothes and love their prices also- for some new basics. I forgot that you couldn’t order online in the United States part of their website. I was pretty bummed especially when I found out they have a H&M+ now! I’m a chic that is inbetween ladies and plus size sizes, I can wear both and according to what type of material/fit/etc the clothing is. They had some super cute plus size clothes, but alas Georgia doesn’t have H&M+ in their stores yet:( and I can’t order them online….

Does anyone know if you can order their clothes from the UK? I know it would be extra shipping but I can’t find these pieces near I live..

Anyways, I love their dressing room app and I created this outfit with a fair or fall festival in mind. Enjoy
